🔥 ChatGPT Tips Tuesday #8: Responses in "styles"
Articulate the style of response and see ChatGPT have a go at it
💡 ChatGPT Tips for the day
ChatGPT is smart enough to turn your responses in the style you want. Just remember to ask for it in your prompt.
Thanks to all the people who voted in the last issue. By popular demand, I am going to talk about getting the specific types of responses you can get.
For this issue, I will go with the 4 different types of responses that I hope could make your life more productive. However, upon researching, I realised there are actually a lot of other creative types, like word art. I might still do an issue that talks about them.
The topic I will be using across this issue’s examples would be unicorn related. So I hope it would at least inject some fun into the examples. Let’s see how it goes. 🦄 😉
Bullet point
Showing the responses in bullet points helps you get to the detail straight away which is always going to be time-saving for you.
Example

Try this in your next prompt
[Your prompt/question] in bullet points
Table
This is a visual way to see the information organised for you. If you want it generated and use for your next presentation. You can do a quick clip of the output from ChatGPT.
Also, for anything that is intended to be generated to be 100% accurate or have a definitive answer, please make sure you do your fact-checking as ChatGPT can hallucinate from time to time 🥴
Example

Try this in your next prompt
Show me a table that contains [detail you want to see in the table]. Please contain [the columns in the table]
Comma-Separated Values (CSV)
Although the table above looks cool, it is not always the best if you want to use it for something else. Also, I personally feel it is a pain to copy the whole table. Hence I see that using CSV could be a better option and ChatGPT allows you to do that as well.
With the “Copy code” function from ChatGPT, you can directly get this CSV file created and pass it to whoever needs to work their magic with it.
Example

Try this in your next prompt
Show me a table that contains [detail you want to see in the table] in CSV format. Please contain [the columns in the table]
Mindmap
If CSV is yet to blow your mind, I think this Mindmap creation capability is 🤯
If you are not familiar with mindmap, the quick explanation is that it helps you find and organise words/concepts/ideas that are related to a word/concept/idea.
Example

Well, that is a bit dry right, and once again, it is hard to copy this to create an actual mindmap. So let’s try it in markdown style then 👇️

That is not it. If you really want to see visually how this mindmap looks like, you can actually just copy this markdown format data into a mindmap creator like Markmap. From the link, you can simply put in your markdown code to get a cool-looking mindmap like the one below:

Try this in your next prompt
Create a mindmap for [the topic you want to explore] in markdown
Alright, those are some good ones I have found so far. I know there must be more of these out there. If you spot any, feel free to drop me a message at [email protected] or hit me up on my Twitter @AnInquisitiveMd.
🎧 What topic would you like me to discuss in the next issue of ChatGPT Tips Tuesday? Please choose the topic you would like to hear and I will try to write it in the next issue. I look forward to hearing your thought. |
