💡 ChatGPT Tips for the day

I find it hard always to include every single detail in the prompt. One trick I have found is to try to include some examples in your prompt to help me better explain what I want.

I had some great success with this when I was trying to create a regex for Google Analytics during work. If you don’t understand what regex is, it is basically like a code to filter the URLs specifically. I first tried to detail the condition for the responses, but ChatGPT ends up providing some weird restriction on the suggested regex. After noticing the issue, I tried to change my initial prompt to include some examples that directly contradict the restriction imposed but still align with my initial condition, the result was great.

When examples are considered in the prompt, I do find the results to be more simplified and a little bit more natural when you read it out loud. However, to be honest, the examples above do not show 100% of the power of the examples in the prompts. I do encourage you to try adding examples in your future prompts to test the true power of the examples.
