💡 ChatGPT Tips for the day

Since ChatGPT is the “Genius in the room” (check this mental modal), it would be important to specify whom you expect the answer from and/or who is receiving the answer. Just like how you would not ask an English teacher about a physics question, by being specific, ChatGPT would then understand how to answer properly based on the scenario.

Setting ChatGPT a persona:

Setting the person receiving the message a persona:

See how there are far less complex words and concepts mentioned in the conversation with the 10-year old

Try this in your next prompt

To set ChatGPT a persona, you can try to add the following before your prompt:

As a [adjectives][persona/profession], {your prompt} ;
Act as a [adjectives][persona/profession], {your prompt} ;
Speaking as a [adjectives][persona/profession],{your prompt}

To set the person receiving the messages as a persona, you can try to add the following to your prompt:

{your prompt} as if I am a [adjective][persona/profession];
{your prompt} to me as a [adjective][persona/profession];
Speak to me as if I am a [adjectives][profession],{your prompt}
