🖌️ AI Art Tips Thursday #22: Show me how it is done!
Using the video parameter to get a short video of how the AI art is generated
đź’ˇ AI Art Tips for the Day
By popular demand, I am going to check out the video parameter in Midjourney.
As usual, here is the official doc from Midjourney about this parameter:https://docs.midjourney.com/docs/video.
So what it does is that it provides you with a video about how the AI art is generated. Although, one downside at the moment is that you can only look at the generation of the art for the full grid, i.e. you can’t just look at one upscaled image. The video is only a couple of seconds so if you are expecting a long detailed video, this is not the feature for you.
So, let’s give this parameter a swirl.
To generate that video, simply add --video to your normal imagine prompt. In the first instance, you won’t see any change at all.

Well, similar to getting the seed, you would need to use the envelope reaction like this:

From there, you would get the link to your video sent by the Midjourney bot in a private message, like this:

Here is the final video. I did convert it from video to gif so that you can take a look as well:

It is a pretty cool thing to show others who are wondering how the art generation process is. I guess if you are keen on just seeing any one of the image, you can still do some editing to just cut one-quarter of the video for the specific image you have in mind.

🖼️ Image of the day
Maybe this is “Asian-American Gothic”? 🤔
I found the following from a post that contains multiple attempts at the famous “American Gothic” with different ethnicities in the Midjourney Official here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/officialmidjourney/permalink/614400774184824/.
That is it for the day!
Until I see you next time, stay awesome my friend!
Cheers,
