🖌️ AI Art Tips Thursday #11: Frame that Perfect Moment
Try different frames to see how your art generation would turn out to be
💡 AI Art Tips for the Day
Even with the same object, you can still get some different yet amazing results from different frames.
By popular demand, we will explore trying different frames with the art generation.
First of all, I must clarify my understanding of frames are slightly different to what is understood in the photography world. The better terms to describe what I mean should be shot sizes and camera angles, this particular article explained quite well the different kinds of shot sizes and camera angles that are available: https://www.studiobinder.com/blog/types-of-camera-shots-sizes-in-film/
If you are in a hurry, the following images from StudioBinder provide great visual explanations of the different kinds of shot sizes and camera angles.

For today’s issue, I will explore both concepts via AI art generations.
First, let’s try some different shot sizes:

The varieties look quite good, although, it does look like it is a bit hard to get the shot of the legs of the people.
Next, let’s try different camera levels:

Personally, I like the variety of this better. The overhead level one is quite hilarious, to be honest.
Lastly, let’s try to combine things:

I am glad this combination still works. Obviously, you would need to try to find the best combo for the image you would like to create.
Cool, so in conclusion, this is what I found by playing with the prompting with those shot sizes and camera levels:
Adding the shot sizes could control how much of the objects/people are to be shown in the final art generation.
Adding the camera levels could control where the viewpoint is coming from.
Try this in your next prompt

🔤 Word of the day
Monochromatic colour photography
n. is a technique that uses varying shades of a single colour to create an image.
Instead of a black and white photo, which is truly monochrome, a monochromatic colour photo might be all in shades of blue or red, for example.
This style simplifies the visuals and can evoke a certain mood, focusing on light, texture, and form without the distraction of multiple colours. It's like hearing a melody played on one instrument, which can highlight nuances often missed in a full orchestra.
To check further explanation about this technique, check this Wikipedia.
Here is an example of this technique 👇️

I was trying the shot size called “cowboy shot” and this is what I get 🤣
